Seventh Food Drive
It’s been quite a while since our last food drive, so we decided to run another one, due to the Hawaii Foodbank struggling now more than ever to keep their shelves stocked. Thank you, everyone, for your support! If you'd like to find out more ways to help, follow us on Instagram @nextwavehawaii.
Sixth Food Drive
We had a lot of requests to host more food drives. We also had a lot of volunteers who wanted chances to help out their community. We had a lot of support again and we are all so grateful.
Fifth Food Drive
We had a lot of requests to host more food drives. We also had a lot of volunteers who wanted chances to help out their community. We had a lot of support again and we are all so grateful.
Fourth Food Drive
In early December, we decided to host yet another food drive. Every time we've done these, the community always seems to want to help out more. We ended up with about 845 pounds of food and items! If you'd like to support them even more, you can go to their website hawaiifoodbank.org.
Third Food Drive
In late June, we decided (because our last food drive was such a success with over 300 donations from our neighbors,) to have another food drive. We passed out about 200 flyers. This time was different because we had two new members who helped out. We did two different locations as well. We ended up with over 700 donations! We appreciate and are very grateful to those who donated!
Second Food Drive
In late April, we did a food drive in our neighborhood. We ended up with 377+ cans and many people requested we do it again. So, we listened and passed out 200 flyers on May 4th and 6th. We then collected the food on May 9th. Again, we were very successful. We got over 471 donations! We are looking forward to doing it again in the future!
First Food Drive
After coming up with an idea to try and help the local food banks that were suffering due to the lack of food being donated when the COVID-19 pandemic started the escalate, we were ready to put the plan into action. We gathered and designed/printed 200 flyers to pass out around the neighborhood and were delighted to see that our gracious neighbors had donated food/items for us! Mahalo to those who supported us!
