Goal #4: UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all and by fostering a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs, this goal can be met. By aligning with SDG 4, teen-owned small businesses contribute to the overall goal of creating opportunities for youth to realize their potential and become active contributors to their communities' economic development.
Goal #8: Mentoring small businesses contributes to the creation of decent work and economic growth. Ensuring teens have the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to establish and grow their ventures facilitates job creation and promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth within communities. By promoting entrepreneurial activities, mentoring small businesses fosters innovation, productivity, and overall economic resilience.
So what did we do?
In order to start solving these issues, we created a website to showcase teen-owned small businesses. When buying products off of this website, 50% of the profit will go to the business so they can continue to learn and grow, and the other 50% will be donated to heal the damage caused by the Maui wildfires in August of 2023. The small businesses on this website are also being mentored and learning how to grow on this journey!
So far, we’ve raised over $1,200 for Maui and we can’t wait to see what milestones come next.

Lahainaluna High School Foundation’s Advanced Education Scholarship
We are incredibly honored to partner with the student business club at Lahainaluna High School in Lahaina, Maui, to support future leaders through Next Wave Hawaii. Lokahi Collective is proud to contribute 50% of our profits to the Lahainaluna High School Foundation’s advanced education scholarship, which provides critical funding to students pursuing higher education.
This scholarship empowers students to overcome financial barriers, opening doors to opportunities that enable them to excel academically and ultimately give back to their communities. By supporting these driven young individuals, we are investing in the future of Maui and the spirit of ‘lokahi’—unity and togetherness—that inspires everything we do.
This partnership has taken on new significance in the wake of the recent fires that have profoundly impacted Lahaina and its community. Many families, including students of Lahainaluna High School, have lost homes, businesses, and cherished memories. Through our donations, we hope to offer a small but meaningful way to help rebuild and uplift Lahaina by providing students with educational opportunities that honor their resilience. Every purchase made through Lokahi Collective contributes directly to this cause, helping to support a new generation of leaders who will shape Maui’s future.
